I remember that nine months ago a friend asked me:

– Hey, Gonzalo, what would you invest in if you had 200 million euros in the bank?

I said all serious:

– Well, due to the current situation I would invest in the hotel industry and airlines because every day there is more tourism and every day there will be more.

Nine months have passed since my “wise” comment and I have realized that this reflection was not entirely bad, but that with what has happened in the world due to Covid-19 everything has changed a lot and things, for now, they are not as they were before.

Let’s hope that in 2021, with the coveted vaccine, things will get better, but even so, at TTS we believe that as a general rule the areas occupied by tenants today will decrease by at least -25% compared to their current area because teleworking will be a common practice in companies. Nevertheless, the world of offices will continue to exist, because we will realize that the office works better, due to the relationship we have with our colleagues; relationship that generates what we call “wearing and sweating the shirt.” I am not saying this because I work in the office sector, but because I am convinced that the day-to-day life between colleagues is what makes a company more humane and, therefore, a better place to work.

One thing has become clear to me after what I experienced this year 2020; and it is that we do not take anything for granted because things change from one second to another. That is why we must be attentive to how to improve continuously and know how to adapt to new living conditions.
